When I create content through Spartan Ownership, it’s to empower men like you to move towards a higher ideal. This higher ideal is one of a masculine, strong, vital and high-performance man.
In order to be functioning at that high-performance standard, you need to fill yourself with the best fuel possible. How are you going to function at a high level if all you fill yourself with is low-grade fuel?
The more research I do and experience I get, the more I realize that the BEST diet for men is The Primal Way.
What Is Primal?
Have you ever heard of the Paleo diet? Well Primal and Paleo are very similar. The concept behind Paleo is that you basically eat like a hunter-gatherer. This means NO processed food/beverages, grains, bread, legumes, dairy, etc. And you focus on eating whole foods such as grass-fed meat, vegetables, fruits, etc.

But in summary: Primal basically IS Paleo except it’s more holistic and allows you to eat a greater variety of foods. For instance, the Primal way of eating allows you to eat legumes if you tolerate them (rice, beans, lentils). The Primal approach also allows you to drink raw milk, coffee, take supplements, whey protein, white potatoes, and other nightshade vegetables.
The Primal approach is NOT only a way of eating but it’s also a way of life. It’s more holistic in that sense. It emphasizes the importance of going to sleep when the sun goes down, constantly moving your body throughout the day, socializing, and limiting destructive technological use.
Also the Primal approach isn’t so restrictive compared to the Paleo diet as it allows more variety. Hence, it’s easier to stick to the Primal way.
I have had amazing results eating the Primal way. Plus it feels badass knowing that I’m basically eating the same way my ancestors ate. There is a great amount of compelling research that shows our ancestors were likely a lot stronger and more vital than us.
Since I’ve switched to eating and living the primal way, I feel a lot more energy, vitality and wellbeing. I am almost always the one with the most energy in the room..that is when I walk into a room where there are people who eat the conventional way.
I personally keep it at Primal 90/10 simply because life’s too short for not having some cookies, ice-cream or a big ol’ cheeseburger once in awhile. So eat like this 90-95% of the time and if you deserve it..have that cookie!
