G-Shock GD-120 Military Style Watch
Review of the G-Shock GD-120
I have had the G-Shock GD-120 Military style watch for about 3 months now and love it.
It is a great overall watch.
I have used it and abused it and it still works perfectly fine.
When I first moved to Texas, I did a lot of hard labor and construction. I was lifting heavy supplies, doing demolition, and scratching the damn thing on all types of surfaces.
As I type, I’m still wearing it and it looks fine. No signs of wear and tear.

Look and Feel
The look of it is rugged and masculine. It has a military feel to it as well.
The light on it isn’t too bright which is good for concealment/stealth.
I believe that the manufacturers had military personnel in mind while designing the watch as even the bright light button only flashed for a quick 1.5 seconds or so (once again, seems optimized to provide maximum stealth).
An Amazon review says:
“I got this watch as a Christmas gift over 2 years ago and has held up well since. I am a Career Fireman and wear the watch at work. It gets beat up frequently there. I am also quite active in hiking, kayaking, longboarding, and so on. The watch has never missed a beat. It’s been dropped, smacked off stuff, submerged, almost frozen in the winter and just keeps on ticking. It’s a great watch and is as rugged as they come.” – Robert J Nagle

Good for those who sport a rugged style
The watch looks cool and suits my rakish/rugged style.
I like it especially at the gym as it allows me to time my rest-periods without having to check my phone.
Now I just go to the gym with my watch and my training notebook. I leave my phone in my backpack.
No phones = no distractions = good/focused workout.
Not too Bulky
It’s also not too big or bulky like some watches I’ve seen making the person look a bit goofy.
This is good for any guy who lives a physical lifestyle whether that’s because he does MMA, boxing, weight-lifting, fire-fighting, active-duty military, construction, or just feels himself to be an all-around rugged individual.
Great for Young Guys on a Budget
This watch is great for young rugged guys on a budget as it usually goes for around $67 or so.
If you’re a young masculine guy on a budget that is looking for a cool, rugged, and durable watch, look no further, the G-Shock GD-120 is your match.
